When Paul says, we are “dead in trespasses and sins” (Eph2:1), we are not somehow actually dead!
- =/= dead, requiring resuscitation;
- == “whoever does not believe [in Christ] STANDS condemned ALREADY…” (John 3:18b).
“Faith comes from hearing” (Rom10:17). Hearing or teachability comes from ultra-humbling (Matt18:3). And upon hearing & confessing that we are sinners needing a Savior, the Good News about the Grace of God, available to ALL is granted (1Peter5:5) and upon receiving it by faith, we are saved from damnation.
