FAQ on my “Son of David” Calling

Per the Second Coming indoctrination of Hollywood’s “Left Behind & Thief in the Night” movie series, many see my claims as an impossibility. According to them, there is no way that I, Caleb Suresh, can be the Son of David — the expected one. They expect Christ to descend from the sky. Since I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder, these claims could very well be my delusions, and my mind may simply be playing tricks on me. Normally, people will write me off after hearing my claims.

Psychiatric hospitals are filled with those who are similarly diagnosed and who answer in the affirmative when asked if they are the Christ. This is a phenomenon existing among people with bipolar disorder. But digging deeper, we must see this from a spiritual angle. Per scripture, I see this as being in the race for the crown, and only one receives it (1 Corinthians 9:24–27). If counterfeits abound, it is an indication that there is an original among them too.

And what about Jesus of old? He too was labelled as being demon-possessed. The Pharisees rejected Him. He was the rejected living stone who had become the Chief Cornerstone.

I believe my claims are paradoxical but true. “God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise.” Jesus said the last would be first and the first last. Indeed, I would be the last person to be chosen by any human standard. God chose a weak person like me so that His power would be amplified, per 2 Corinthians 12:9.

Since my mind can play tricks on me, God has given me the reliable, foolproof mechanism of the Rhema Word of God. When I open the Bible at random and receive the Word upon which my eyes fall, that Word cannot be my own wishful thinking, can it? It would be God’s Word and not my own, because it is external to me. My fingers cannot randomly see and find that exact Word that ministers to me by any stretch of the imagination. It is almost like magic — indeed, it is a miracle done by the “finger of God” (Luke 11:20). Jesus of old also found His Calling by the same method, as we read in Luke 4:16–21. He opened the Book of Isaiah and found His Calling. One might say those words pertain only to Isaiah and not to Jesus. But Jesus told the synagogue of His day that those words from Isaiah 61:1ff applied to Him and were fulfilled in their hearing. Likewise, in 1998, for the first time God called me Son of David through 2 Chronicles 22:11 and gave me the mission to build the Third Temple. He also gave me Anna as a helpmeet to accomplish that work.

All these years, these Rhemas by the “finger of God” did more than just produce miracles — they helped me experience the very presence of God. Through these Rhemas, God has been comforting and encouraging me to overcome all the challenges of my Calling.

Q1: “Are you the one who was crucified? Do you perform any of the miracles that Jesus did?”

I was born to Motupalli Yogeswara Rao and Motupalli Jayalakshmi. I do not claim to have been born of the Virgin Mary, nor do I have any memory of having been crucified on the cross. But I do claim that I have gone through excruciating times, and that my old self — Suresh — has been crucified; I am now a new creature. Because I humbled myself, God has chosen me and is now exalting me. “He who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Lord Jesus). Suresh is dead; the one who lives is Christ, per Galatians 2:20.

As for miracles, the Bible indicates that they serve as signs to reveal God’s power, authenticate the message of Jesus, and lead people to believe — particularly shown in John 20:30–31, where signs are recorded so that people may believe Jesus is the Messiah. Major miracles were performed in Biblical times because 99% of the world’s population did not know Him. Today, there is a cloud of witnesses — 35% of the world’s population is Christian. Therefore, there is no longer a need for great miracles to kindle faith. Nevertheless, the miracles of the Rhema Word of God that minister to us so deeply have been consistently performed among you, as recorded and journalled at X.com/AgapeAmbassador and in the Agape Kingdom group on WhatsApp.

Q2: “God said, ‘Besides me there is none other’ (Isaiah 45:5). How, then, can you claim to be the Son of David/Christ?”

Jesus of old was told the same thing, and they crucified Him for blasphemy. But we now know that Jesus was right to make those claims. Jesus declared, “They are gods to whom the Word of God (Rhema) has come” (John 10:35). It is like the sap of a tree. When we are grafted into “the Vine” (John 15:1–10), we become united with the Vine, receive its sap — the Rhema — and then bear fruit. Thus, we become indistinguishable from the Vine itself.

One should be careful, however, not to label me as “demon-possessed,” for that would be a blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. When you honour the Son, you honour the Father who sent Him. When you receive an Ambassador of Christ, you are effectively honouring Christ Himself.

Q3: “Why is no one else chosen to be Son of David — why only you?”

God did choose people such as Uncle K. Phillip, Bro. Bakht Singh, and Dr. Billy Graham, each within their own respective sphere of influence, and placed them over His household according to their capacity. Likewise, God has chosen me for this office of Son of David.

Regarding the late Uncle K. Phillip, Chairman of the Bro. Bakht Singh Fellowship: in 1995, when I wanted to change my name from Suresh to Caleb, I came to Jehovah-Shammah early in the morning at about 5:30 a.m. I had kept awake throughout the night in prayer about the change of my name after becoming a Christian. Uncle Phillip came out of his study into the living room to speak with me. He immediately told me that his daily portion that day was: “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.” I told him that my own daily portion was from Streams in the Desert, where Jacob’s name was changed to Israel. I asked him whether I should change my name to “Israel” instead. He said no — God was telling me that I would no longer be called Suresh; thenceforth, my name would be “Caleb,” just as I had originally planned after hearing a message from the pulpit. He then returned to his study, found the meaning of the name “Caleb” in a Bible dictionary, and said it means “a dog that yelps.” I liked it and accepted it — because I admired dogs for their faithfulness — and changed my name to Caleb Suresh Motupalli, even advertising it in the newspapers.

Q4: “How can a mentally ill person serve as a World Governor?”

“God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise” (1 Corinthians 1:27). Jesus said, “The last would be first and the first last” (Matthew 20:16). Indeed, I would be the last person to be chosen by any human standard. God chose a weak person like me to amplify His power, per 2 Corinthians 12:9.

My family says they will ask the doctor to increase my medication until I recant my Son of David position. Presently, I am taking the maximum prescribed dosage and have no intention of recanting. If there is any truth in what I am saying — validated by the cited scriptures — embrace it as Bro. Bakht Singh embraced the Word of God. He said he would believe even if it were written in the Bible that the whale lived in the stomach of Jonah.

I have a modest expectation of who God wants to mould me into — and so should you regarding the coming Christ. Do not expect Him to descend from the sky and come knocking at your door saying, “This is Jesus, let me in.” That would be hubris and conceit on your part. On the other hand, are you one who is “waiting for Him and loves His appearing”? Are you able to say, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord”?

In closing, a Rhema received on 19th April 2026 at 4:35 PM:

“I tell you that something greater than the temple is here.” — Matthew 12:6
