I was getting a little uncomfortable because I wasn't doing much in the way of protecting the "sword" that God has given me and I was about to call an attorney for the same. But before that I inquired of the Lord to know His will. Then I got 1 Chronicles 10:14. I was glad I inquired of the Lord before calling him. Again I sought the Lord's will as to what I should do given that everything is closing in on me and people are catching up. I got 1 Samuel 22:9,10. Then I wondered who is this Ahimelech that I should go to who would give me the sword or I should give him and the provisions thereof. I asked the Lord again and got Psalms 27:14 and I breathed a deep sigh of relief.

(I have to mention the circumstances around which I got today's Word: Upon the leading from God on March 8th, 1999, I turned in my resignation to a secular job to go into full time ministry. As I mention in the article "Call to Consecrate," God has given me a sword back in 1989 with which the Church could be gathered together. But being an alien in this land of America, I have been facing much difficulty to work on this sword. I had knocked on several doors for assistance but to no avail. Now with much embarrassment I am seeking to get back to secular work, only to maintain status with Immigration. Twice I had gone back to India my native country to work on this but ended up getting depressed. Today, Anna my wife, asked me to consider applying with Washington University for a job and so I sought the will of God.)

Matthew Henry's commentary to the above is:
Care taken for the preventing of all conformity to the idolatrous customs of the heathen. They must not only not join with the idolaters in their worships, not visit their groves, nor bow before the images which they had set up, but, 1. They must not plant a grove, nor so much as a tree, near Gods altar lest they should make it look like the altars of the false gods. They made groves the places of their worship either to make it secret (but that which is true and good desires the light rather), or to make it solemn, but the worship of the true God has enough in itself to make it so and needs not the advantage of such a circumstance. 2. They must not set up any image, statue, or pillar, to the honor of God, for it is a thing which the Lord hates; nothing belies or reproaches him more, or tends more to corrupt and debauch the minds of men, than representing and worshipping by an image that God who is an infinite and eternal Spirit.

As I prayed today it occurred to me that just because we see God's timing is not our timing we always think this to mean: God is always late. This is not so!
Today's portion from scripture is from Ezekiel 11:1-13:
Matthew Henry's commentary to the above is:
"Where Satan cannot persuade men to look upon the judgement to come as uncertain, he gains his point by persuading them to look upon it as at a distance. These wretched rulers dare to say, we are as safe in this city as flesh in a boiling pot; the walls of this city shall be to us as walls of brass, we shall receive no more damage from the besiegers than the caldron does from the fire.-When sinners flatter themselves to their own ruin, it is time to tell them they shall have no peace if they go on. None shall remain in possession of the city but those who are buried in it. Those are least safe who are most secure.-God is often pleased to single out some sinners for warning to others. Whether Pelatiah died at that time in Jerusalem, or when the fulfillment of the prophecy drew near, is uncertain. Like Ezekiel, we ought to be much affected with the sudden death of others, and we should still plead with the Lord to have mercy on those who remain."
