Dear Uncle,

SUBJECT: Why i don't keep the 7th day Sabbath now

Greetings once again to you in the name of the Most High and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today even as a i joined with the members of the church at Rehoboth to pray, instead of keeping the Sabbath with the SDA church, God spoke to me through Acts 26:15-18 ("I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.") The first sentence and the last few words especially pierced my heart. In my heart and through my book i may have persecuted the Church unduly.

But even as i was writing this letter, LORD the Father also said, "The lips of a king speak as an oracle, his mouth should not betray justice. Honest scales and balances are from the LORD; all the weights in the bag are of his making." (Proverbs 16:10,11)

While i see that Thursday is the good day for corporate introspection with foot-washing and Communion, and Sunday is the jubilant day for corporate proclamation of our Lord's death and resurrection, as desired by Him at the Last Supper, a question still remains in my mind unresolved. No doubt through His precious blood, Christ took the curse of the Law and sanctified us into the Holy of Holies along with the Jews who keep the whole Law if there are any. But is not entering into the rest set before us a fruit of our salvation? Or do you see Sunday incorporation as that fruit, thus meeting the Sabbath requirement of the Law?

In Him,
