To the Church in "Saint Louis":
Dear believer in the Lord Jesus Christ,
SUBJECT: Sathyagraha II and my protest against the Catholic menace
Greetings to you in the Name of the Most High and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is not important who I am but the Truth contained in this letter is. So I hope you will take time to read it and let the Truth speak for Himself.

The Catholic Church has the greatest visibility in India where Hindus constitute 82% of the population, which is about 750 million. As you might know the Hindus have about 330 million gods and their idols that they worship. Most Hindus understand Jesus Christ from the Catholic perspective "He is one of the idols that the Christians worship". The Catholic Church has made Jesus Christ out to be like one of the 330 million gods that are out there whose idol is to be worshiped like any other. This is a stumbling block, the native Christian evangelists are having great difficulty in overcoming. We have to go so far as to not have a cross even, in our Church facilities to make our point and not be a stumbling block ourselves. |
You would have seen it in the recent news, what is happening in the western part of India. The Hindu radical groups have destroyed some eighteen Church facilities accusing missionaries of converting Hindus with bribery. There is a general belief among the Hindus that the western world is sending millions of dollars to Indian Christians to gain neocolonial rule. The government that is currently in power has called for a national debate on conversions, as Hindu radicals are demanding an immediate end to all conversion activities in India. While this might appear to be a threat, I believe it is a blessing in disguise. This can be taken as an opportunity to tell the nation of India macroscopically who Jesus the Christ is really. Those who are genuinely interested in the Great Commission can be Evangelists to India right from where you are. The souls of millions in India are crying out for justice. The lost millions need the Good News the Gospel of Jesus Christ but the Catholic Church is blocking it with their idols. I am not about to solicit your money but I ask you to do justice for my people.
Pope John Paul II is scheduled to visit "Saint Louis" on the 26th and 27th of this month. I beg you to demand the Pope to remove all semblance of idolatry in India that belongs to the Catholics. This demand should come in the form of what we in India would call "Sathyagraha".

Gandhi used the principles of non-violence to fight the British and bring freedom to India. In what was called Sathyagraha, Indians in many towns brought clothes made in Britain that they owned, to town centers and burnt them. I ask you, dear brothers and sisters, to the extent you are convicted by the Second Commandment, to publicly destroy all artifacts you posses that could serve as stumbling blocks. If you do not have any such artifacts, go and buy some. You would be stopping someone from using them to stumble others. A good target for example is a U.S postage stamp, copy of which is over-leaf. It has the potential of stumbling many especially when sent abroad. I was appalled when I received it on an envelope from my own Pastor who sent it to me with a card, totally oblivious of what harm it could do. |
Dear brothers and sisters you might not be worshiping these artifacts but you are stumbling others with them even your own little ones. Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 18:6 "if anyone causes one of these little ones who believes in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." The little ones here are also those who are being born-again every day even as the Good News is being preached in many street corners of India. Jesus Himself desired that no one stumble on account of Himself (Matthew 11:6). If Jesus Himself being so pure said this, how much more cautious we ought to be?
If there is any merit in what I am suggesting here, please spread the word around. And please do something about it, as only faith that produces works counts. Do not be apathetic, as many of you are when it comes to bringing people to justice. Are you not to judge those inside those who call themselves followers of Jesus Christ? (1 Corinthians 5:12) This is a service you would be doing for them, before God Himself comes down on them with His mighty hand. As for yourselves, do not shrink from coming under judgement yourselves. It is better that your brother judges you than to come under the judgement of God. Eagerly desire reproof. In this way let the Bride make herself ready (Revelation 19:7) through introspection and be received without blemish by the Lord Jesus Christ on His arrival. May God richly bless you with discernment and keep you! Amen!
